A Change Is Gonna Come -- Sam Cooke (Original Version in HD)
A Change Is Gonna Come by Sam Cooke (1964)
The song was inspired by various personal events in Cooke's life, most prominently an event in which he and his entourage were turned away from a whites only motel in Louisiana. Cooke felt compelled to write a song that spoke to the struggle around him. The song became an anthem for the American Civil Rights Movement. Cooke died at the age of 33 on December 11, 1964 in Los Angeles, California. This song was released posthumously.
